"Individuality" - Ella Wheeler Wilcox)  The poem, "individuality" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, is about a used to be strong woman who finds herself get weaker when she falls in love for a guy. In stanza 1 lines 2 and 3, the speaker tells us, "Just as a weaker loves her own. Better than I love my beloved art." She loves this man more than her which she kept safe. In this poem, it uses alliteration in stanza 1 line 2, "weaker woman; since and saw" and an extended metaphor in stanza 2 lines 8-12, "Your frown can make the whole world like a tomb; Your smile shines brighter than the sun,by far; Sometimes I think there is not space or room; In all the earth for such a love as mine; And it soars up to breathe in realms divine."
